The former Blues player Hadleigh Parkes is one of three new signings for the Hurricanes Super rugby side.
Parkes, who captain's the Auckland provincial side, played for the South African side the Southern Kings in this year's Super rugby competition.
Parkes who's originally from Manawatu says he's looking forward to returning to his home region having grown up supporting the Hurricanes.
The other two new signings are Tasman first-five-eight Marty Banks and Hawkes Bay lock Mark Abbott.
