Better accuracy needed from Silver Ferns shooters

The Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu says her side still need to cut down on errors and improve shooting percentages after their 58-50 loss to Australia on Friday night.

The victory in Adelaide gives the Diamonds a 2-1 lead in the Constellation Cup series with two tests to play.

The Silver Ferns shot at 85 percent, to the opposition's 94 percent.

While veteran shooter Irene Van Dyk shot well when she had the ball she didn't put up a high volume and was benched at three-quarter time to make way for Cathrine Latu.

Taumaunu says they struggled to get the ball through to the attack line.

One good sign for the Ferns was the impact debutante Shannon Francois had when brought on at wing attack at half-time.
