Joseph Parker's camp has challenged Sonny Bill Williams to a unification fight for the New Zealand heavyweight boxing titles.
Parker's promoter and management Duco Events has written an open letter to Williams' manager Khoder Nasser, offering a one million Australian dollar prize purse - if the dual rugby and league international will fight the winner of the Parker versus 'King' Afa Tatupu bout, next Thursday in Auckland.
Williams holds the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association heavyweight belt, while Parker is bidding to beat Tatupu for the New Zealand National Boxing Federation Heavyweight Title.
The public move comes after numerous attempts by Duco to arrange a fight against Williams.
Parker is widely expected to beat Tatupu, who, like himself and Williams, is a relative rookie - but the big-hitting Tatupu should still pose a stern test to the lightning-fast Parker.
