The Warriors loose forward Todd Lowrie has granted an early release from his two-year contract with the National Rugby League club on compassionate grounds.
Lowrie came to the club after winning the NRL title with the Melbourne Storm last year.
In 21 matches this year, the 30-year-old was one of the Warriors' busiest and most effective defenders, making 659 tackles, at an average of 31 a game - bettered only by Nathan Friend, Elijah Taylor and Simon Mannering.
