Selection conundrum for Diamonds coach

1:14 pm on 13 October 2013

The Australian netball coach Lisa Alexander will have to decide whether to retain a successful starting seven or give other players a go in the final match of the five-test Constellation Cup series against the Silver Ferns tomorrow.

The Diamonds are seeking to complete their first four-test netball winning streak over arch-rival New Zealand in 15 years when they meet in Canberra.

The world champions hold an unassailable 3-1 lead, having turned their previously ailing fortunes around after dropping the first game in Invercargill.

That's thanks largely to a starting seven who have developed slick combinations over the last three games.

The vice-captain Bianca Chatfield says Alexander will have to weigh up whether to retain the same seven or give other players court time in the last match against New Zealand before next year's Commonwealth Games.
