The first cricket Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Chittagong has ended in a draw.

The hi-lite was the Bangladeshi all-rounder Sohag Gazi who became the first cricketer to score a century and record a hat-trick in the same test.

Gazi followed a maiden test century on Saturday by taking six for 77 in New Zealand's second innings of 287 for seven declared.

Bangladesh, set 256 to win from 45 overs, were 173 for three when play was called off.

It's the second draw between the two teams with New Zealand winning the other eight.

Spinner Gazi, playing in his 7th Test, picked up the wickets of Corey Anderson, BJ Watling and Doug Bracewell.

The second and final test starts in Mirpur next Monday
