Force want O'Connor to deal with "humility" issues

The Western Force rugby franchise might yet offer the exiled Wallabies back James O'Connor a contract for next season but they would like him to deal with his "humility" issues.

The gifted 23 year old utility back was released from his Australian Rugby Union contract with immediate effect earlier this month, after being escorted by police out of Perth airport in the aftermath of a test match against Argentina.

O'Connor's disciplinary problems cost him his contract with the Melbourne Rebels, but the Western Force coach Michael Foley says his franchise is open-minded about the player, and they have made contact.

The Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie has also been in touch with O'Connor but he says the onus remains on the player to sort himself out.
