Sir Alex Ferguson Way unveiled at Old Trafford

The former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has unveiled a street named in his honour near the English champions' Old Trafford ground on Monday.

The street which was fomerly Waters Reach will now be known as Sir Alex Ferguson Way.

During the 71 year old Scot's 26 years in charge, United won 13 Premier League titles and two European Champions League trophies before retiring last year.

Sir Alex Ferguson Way will be on the other side of the ground to another stadium approach road, Sir Matt Busby Way, named after Ferguson's most illustrious predecessor as United manager and the man behind the club's first European Cup triumph in 1968.
