The New Zealand women's hockey team will play China, Argentina and Australia in pool play at the World League Final in Argentina in December.

The third ranked Black Sticks begin the tournament against the seventh ranked Chinese on December 1st.

The World League Final features eight nations with qualifying having begun in August last year.

There are two pools of four followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals, classification and medal matches.

Following the round robin pool matches, the teams move into the crossover quarter-final phase, with the pool winners meeting the bottom team from the opposite pool.

Black Sticks head coach Mark Hager will name his side for the tournament following the upcoming Oceania Cup in Stratford.

That tournament also includes Australia, Samoa and Papua New Guinea.
