Pakistan on verge of test victory over South Africa

7:32 am on 17 October 2013

Pakistan have bowled their way into a commanding position after three days of their first test against the world's top-ranked test nation South Africa in Abu Dhabi.

South Africa will be struggling to avoid an innings loss after losing four of their leading batsmen for 72 runs in their second innings, before bad light ended play seven overs early.

The Proteas haven't lost a test for nearly two years but they need another 121 runs to avoid an innings defeat, Pakistan having made an impressive 442 runs in their first innings.
