Coach says Tall Blacks are making progress

The New Zealand men's basketball team feel they're heading in the right direction despite a lack of success on their European tour.

On Friday morning the Tall Blacks scored just their second win from seven matches, overturning a 22-point loss to Belgium the day before with an 83-81 victory.

Coach Nenad Vucinic says he's looking to develop his largely inexperienced squad on this tour and they've been able to do that at times without actually winning.

The Tall Blacks play their final European game against Finland on Monday.
