NZ put brakes on Bangladesh

12:45 pm on 22 October 2013

(CCN LAST PAR - NEIL WAGNER NOT BRUCE MARTIN).

Bangladesh reached 228 for 5 on the opening day of the second cricket test against New Zealand before the final session was completedly washed out.

The Black Caps managed to share the honours for the day by taking the wickets of Tamim Iqbal for 95 and Shakib Al Hasan for 20 just before the tea break.

Those wickets compensated in some way for two dropped catches off Tamim at the start of his innings, both off Doug Bracewell's bowling.

Neil Wagner picked up two wickets, and there was one each for Trent Boult, Ish Sodhi and Corey Anderson.
