Serbia have oulasted Spain in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out to lift their third title at the World men's waterpolo Championships in Rome.
The game finished 6-6 at full time and 7-7 after an extra period before Serbia clinching the sudden-death triumph.
It was the first time that Serbia have won this title as a single country, having previously triumphed as Yugoslavia and then Serbia and Montenegro.
Reigning champions Croatia took the bronze medal with an 8-6 defeat of the United States.
