Halfback Thomas Leuluai won't be available for selection for the Kiwis opening Rugby League World Cup match against Samoa in Warrington on Monday morning.
Leuluai trained with the side for the first time, but he's been battling a groin injury which forced him to miss the warmup match against the Cook Islands.
The Kiwis will still be well served in the halves by Kieran Foran or Shaun Johnson.
