The Australian basketballer Andrew Bogut has signed a new three year NBA deal with the Golden State Warriors worth up to a reported $50 million.
With Bogut's current contract due to expire at the end of this season his impending free agency had been the subject of much speculation but the Warriors have announced that the franchise and the 28-year-old centre had reached a new deal.
The Boomer joined the Warriors in 2012 but has struggled for court time with the franchise after suffering a broken ankle that season.
Bogut managed only 30 of 82 games last season due to complications following surgery on his ankle.
He returned to his best in the playoffs in helping the Warriors to the second round.
Golden State's impressive late-season form has many tipping them to be a contender for this coming season's NBA crown and Bogut's pre-season form suggests he will play a big part in that.
