Pakistan cricket officials are fuming that South Africa's Faf Du Plessis was hit with just a small fine for ball tampering, claiming punishment would have been more severe had a sub-continental player been involved.
Du Plessis was fined 50 percent of his match fee after admitting tampering with the ball during the third day of the second Test in Dubai.
The South Africans, who won by an innings and 92 runs to level the two-match series 1-1, were also penalised five runs.
But Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi says he'll protest the fine.
The 29-year-old du Plessis is the first South African to be charged with ball tampering.
