Torres stars as Chelsea see off City

Fernando Torres was the star as Chelsea beat visitors Manchester City 2-1 in London to return to second place in English football's Premier League.

Torres capitalised on a defensive blunder to score the last-minute winner, gleefully firing into an empty net after a mix-up between City defender Matija Nastasic and Joe Hart.

The Spain striker also set up Andre Schuerrle's first-half goal.

Sergio Aguero had levelled soon after half-time for City as victory lifted Chelsea back up to second place, level on 20 points with Liverpool and two behind leaders Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur moved back into the top four after seeing off Hull City 1-0.

Sunderland climbed off the foot of the table with a 2-1 home victory over Newcastle United in the Tyne-Wear derby.

Swansea and West Ham drew 0-0 in Wales.
