The New Zealand Breakers are sure their shock move to sack American import Darnelle Lazare and re-sign former star Gary Wilkinson will help them reverse their poor start to the Australian basketball season.
The defending champions are at the bottom of the league ladder after just one win from four games but head coach Dean Vickerman says Wilkinson, an American import and two-time champion with the club, will bring a vocal enthusiam to the court which has been lacking this season.
Wilkinson arrived in Auckland this morning and Vickerman's hoping the centre will play perhaps 20 minutes in their next game on Thursday, at home to Adelaide.
