Auckland rider Aaron Gate finished fourth in his the omnium at the World Cup meet in Manchester, his first competition in the six-discipline event since his UCI championship win.
Gate finished tied for third with Australian Luke Davison but gave way on countback of the timed events.
Southland sprinter Eddie Dawkins finished sixth in the men's keirin final.
