Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne has launched a scathing attack on his former team-mate Ricky Ponting.
Warne says Ponting's criticisms of his successor Michael Clarke in his recently released autobiography may be a result of "jealousy".
Ponting and Clarke exchanged text messages last week after the release of Ponting's book in which the former test captain was critical of Clarke's attitude under him when vice-captain.
Warne's ensured the issue will flare up again, suggesting Ponting could have been motivated to dig dirt because Clarke outperformed him in the latter years of his career.
