Horwill could be bound for Wallabies bench

The deposed Australian rugby captain James Horwill is under immense pressure to keep his place in the team and could end up on the bench for this weekend's game against Italy.

The Wallabies returning lineout general Rob Simmons is returning from injury, and although Horwill came up with an improved performance in their loss to England last weekend, he could be benched this weekend in Turin.

Coach Ewen Mckenzie, under pressure with a three-win eight-loss test record, is keeping his selection cards close to his chest, saying no one can feel safe, but it's thought Ben Mowen will retain the captaincy for the game against Italy.
