Injury situation improving in Kiwis camp

The injury situation in the New Zealand rugby league camp is improving with both Thomas Leuluai and Manu Vatuvei on the mend.

Halfback Leuluai hasn't played a part in the Kiwis' first two World Cup matches as he's been bothered with a groin injury.

Manager Tony Iro says scans have come back clear, but they'll still have to manage the injury and he won't put a time frame on his return to the field.

Meanwhile Vatuvei has recovered from a knock he took to his leg in the first match against Samoa.

Kieran Foran and Shaun Johnson are the preferred players in the halves.

The Kiwis play their last group match against Papua New Guinea this weekend.
