NZ's defence key to making Fast5 final

The New Zealand netballers have reached the final of the Fast5 World Series at Auckland's Vector Arena by again coming from behind win, thank to stern defence.

South Africa led their semi-final by three points after the first quarter, but the Fast5 Ferns were up by one at half-time, then held the Proteas scoreless in their power play period - when shots count for double.

The defending champions went on to win by a comfortable 27-14 margin and the Ferns will face Australia in this evening's final, after the Fliers beat Jamaica 27-25 in their semi.

Malawi beat England 34-32 in the playoff for fifth place.
