Scott rules at Australian PGA

Australian golf star Adam Scott thrilled the fans on his return home, seven months after winning the Masters, to capture the Australian PGA championship on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The world number two played his best golf of the final round after a rain delay at of nearly two hours at Royal Pines, cruising to a four-shot win over young Californian star Rickie Fowler.

The leading New Zealander was Wellington left-hander Gareth Paddison in a tie for sixth.

Scott will be playing the Australian Masters, the World Cup of Golf and the Australian Open over the next three weeks.
