New Zealand completely dominated the Fast5 netball series in Auckland, culminating in a 56-27 victory over Australia in the final.
The New Zealanders led 15-12 at half-time, but with the aid of their double-point power-play in the third quarter, they scored an impressive 34 points - including five six-pointers, two to Cathrine Latu and three to Maria Tutaia.
The Ferns then held the Australians to just eight points in their power play final quarter.
New Zealand captain Casey Kopua says their game plan throughout the tournament was based around defence - they held the South Africans to nil in the Proteas' power play quarter in the semi-finals - but excellent shooting got them the decisive results in the final.
Bookending the court, twin towers Jhaniele Fowler at goal shoot and Romelda Aiken at goalkeeper inspired a decisive 44-17 win for Jamaica over South Africa to seal third place, while African minnows Malawi beat England in the fifth place playoff.
