Disgruntled Mexican fans could help out All Whites

The All Whites believe if they can weather the first 15 to 20 minutes of their football World Cup qualifier against Mexico on Thursday morning the home town crowd could turn on their national side.

Mexico at 24th are ranked more than fifty places higher than New Zealand on the world rankings but have been in disarray this year onto their fourth coach in the space of a couple of months.

All Whites striker Jeremy Brockie says they've field a lot of questions from Mexican media about their thoughts on the state of the Mexican side and the decision not to select European based players for the match.

Brockie says the suggestion is if the All Whites can keep Mexico scoreless in the first quarter of the match the locals will become frustrated and turn on their own side.

With the Azteca stadium in Mexico City holding more than 100 thousand spectators Brockie says if they start heckling their own team it will relieve some of the pressure on New Zealand.

The winner of the home and away series will advance to the finals in Brazil next year.
