All three New Zealand combinations have been beaten on the opening day of the World Badminton Championships in Hyderabad, India.
In the mixed doubles Joe Wu and Danielle Barry were beaten by a French pair, Henry Tam and Donna Halliday were beaten by a German pair while in the women's doubles Barry and Halliday were beaten by a combination from Hong Kong.
