Olympic shot put champion Valerie Vili says she can't wait to get to Berlin to defend her world title.
Vili competes on the second day of the world athletics championships at Berlins Olympic Stadium on Sunday night.
She says having criss-crossed the globe for the past several months she's excited about competing at the highest level again.
Vili has been training with the New Zealand team in France and competed in the French Nationals where she threw 20.18 metres to win.
Her husband Bertrand will be competing for France in the discus at the world champs.
