7:46 am on 12 August 2009

The 21 year old Auckland hockey striker Simon Child made history in Palmerston North last night as the youngest New Zealander to earn 100 caps.

But he wasn't able to celebrate with a victory as the Black Sticks drew one-all with Malaysia in game two of their five-match series.

The next match is in Napier tomorrow night, and game four is also in Napier.
