Auckland swimmer Lauren Boyle has finished second in the 400 freestyle final at a World Cup meet in Beijing.
While the series has been dominated by Boyle and Spanish stars Mireia Belmonte and Melani Costa, they were all upset by local Chinese freestyler Yiwen Shao.
Boyle missed out on a gold by a touch.
Boyle finished the three leg World Cup series in Asia with four wins and three other podiums, to go with two wins and two second placings earlier in the series in Europe.
