Four players have been added to the White Sox selection to contest next month's Australian interstate softball league in Auckland.

It's the first time New Zealand will host a round of the Gilley's Shield, and national women's coach Naomi Shaw is keen to use the event as part of her build-up towards next year's ISF World Championship in the Netherlands.

Shaw named the bulk of her line-up last month, but this week added four more - one a replacement - to complete her roster.

Hawke's Bay catcher Melanie Gettins, Auckland utility Tyneesha Houkamau and Auckland pitcher Beth Stavert are the additions, while Auckland outfielder Tegan Bromhead will replace Brooke McManus, who withdrew for work reasons.

The Gilley's Shield takes place from December 12th to the 15th at Albany's Rosedale Park.

White Sox: Lara Andrews (USA), Kyla Bromhead (Auckland/Waitakere Bears), Rebecca Bromhead (Auckland/Waitakere Bears), Tegan Bromhead (Auckland/Waitakere Bears), Jennifer Feret (Auckland/Western Magpies), Danica Ferriso (Hutt Valley/Saints), Mel Gettins (Hawke's Bay Dodgers), Shannon Hearne (Australia), Krysta Hoani (USA), Tyneesha Houkamau (Auckland/Marist), Rita Hokianga (USA), Jasmine Kaiaruna (Wellington/Johnsonville), Te Reo Powhiri Matautia (USA), Katrina Nukunuku (Auckland/Ramblers), Cassie Siataga (Canterbury/Richmond Keas), Beth Stavert (Auckland/Western Magpies)
