Swedish golfer Henrik Stenson is already focusing on next year's four major championships after being confirmed as the European tour's number one player for 2013.

Stenson claimed his first European player title by shooting a final round of 64 to finish 25-under par total and six shots clear of the English runner up Ian Poulter at the season-ending Dubai World Tour Championship.

The strapping Swede also won the PGA tour's season-ending Fedex Cup, collecting near 20-million dollars for the two events.

Other highlights of Stenson's year included second placing at the British Open, and third in the USPGA Championship.
