The former Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken has lost her first game in charge of the Singapore netball team.
Aitken has taken over the side to prepare them for next year's world championships.
Singapore was beaten 58-50 by the Cook Islands in the first of a three-match series in Rarotonga.
