Ko starts her professional career tomorrow

The 16-year-old New Zealand golf star Lydia Ko starts her professional career in Florida tomorrow.

The world number five will tee up in the 2 and a half million dollar Titleholders Championship on the LPGA tour.

After passing up more than a million dollars in prize money as an amateur, Ko will be chasing the winner's cheque of

840 thousand dollars (NZ).

She says they're also finalising management and endorsement deals.

Ko will formely join the LPGA tour next year .

She'll play alongside Jessica Korda and Michelle Wie in the first 2 rounds in Florida.
