Early Ashes advantage to England

England holds the early advantage at lunch on day one of the first Ashes Test at the Gabba in Brisbane.

After winning the toss and electing to bat Australia lost the wickets of opener Chris Rogers for one and number three Shane Watson for 22, to be 72 for 2.

Opener David Warner has hit six boundaries to be not out 42 and will be joined at the crease by his captain Michael Clarke when play resumes who is yet to get off the mark.
