Sri Lanka wins second T20 match

The Sri Lankan cricketers have won the Twenty20 series against New Zealand after a comprehensive eight-wicket victory in the second game at Pallekele.

Put into bat on a greenish wicket, the Black Cpas could manage just 142 for seven, with Luke Ronchi top scoring with an unbeaten 34.

In the field the New Zealanders dropped a couple of catches as Sri Lanka reached their target in the 18th over with Tillakaratne Dilshan hitting an unbeaten 59. Mitchell McClenaghan and Rob Nicol took a wicket each.

The first match was rained out.

New Zealand's next outing is the home test series against the West Indies next month.
