The American basketball legend Kobe Bryant has signed a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers which means he'll finish his NBA career in Los Angeles.

The Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak says to play 20 years in the NBA with the same team is unprecedented.

Bryant has helped the Lakers win five NBA championships, he's a 15-time All-Star, fourth on the all-time scoring list, and the winner of two Olympic gold medals.

Financial terms of the deal weren't announced by the Lakers, but ESPN reports say Bryant will remain the NBA's highest-paid player, scheduled to earn $28.5 million next season and $30 million in the second year.
