The 'B' sample of the suspended New Zealand equestrian Jock Paget's horse has returned a positive test.

Paget rode Clifton Promise to victory at the Burghley International Horse Trials in early September, then the horse tested positive for the banned substance Reserpine.

Now the 'B' sample's also tested positive. Paget says he is confident of providing the International Equestrian Federation with a comprehensive explanation.

Paget says that while the B sample result is disappointing, it was expected given the blood in the 'B' sample was taken at the same time as the 'A' sample.
