Captain Mika Vukona has led the New Zealand Breakers to an 84-74 win over the Melbourne Tigers in their Australian national Basketball League clash in Auckland.
Vukona finished with 14 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block to lead the Breakers to back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
He had help in the form of Tom Abercrombie, who scored 11 of his 14 points in a final quarter flurry that knocked the life out of the Tigers' challenge.
The win lifts the Breakers to fifth spot at 4-6 for the season, equal on wins with the Tigers who have now lost two in a row.
