The director of this year's America's Cup, Iain Murray, has been named the new chief executive of Team Australia.
Representing the Hamilton Island Yacht Club, the challenger of record for the next America's Cup regatta, Team Australia will be the first Australian syndicate to compete for the Auld Mug since Young Australia in 2000.
Murray, who sailed on Australia's victorious challenge in 1983, says mounting a challege will be difficult.
Australian winemaker Bob Oatley is bankrolling Team Australia.
