Trapp new President of Auckland Rugby

The former Auckland rugby coach Maurice Trapp has been elected as the new president of the Auckland Rugby Union.

Trapp, who coached Auckland between 1987 and 1991, takes over from outgoing president Lawrie Knight.

Former Auckland representative Waka Nathan was re-elected as ARU Patron.

Auckland Rugby announced a financial surplus for the year of $520,000.
