Black Sticks coach blasts players

The New Zealand women's hockey coach, Mark Hager, has criticised his team after their 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Australia at the World League event in Argentina.

The Black Sticks have lost all three matches they've played at the tournament and must now play reigning Olympic champions, the Netherlands in the quarter finals.

Hager says while a few of the senior players played well, the game proved some of his team aren't yet up to international standard with Australia exposing their lack of fitness and physicality.

The Black Sticks play the Netherlands on Friday morning.
