Burnley back on top of Championship

Leicester City have crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Brighton to hand the lead in English football's Championship back to Burnley, who beat strugglers Barnsley 1-0 at home at Turf Moor.

Second-placed Queen's Park Rangers missed the chance to go top instead of Burnley after being held to a 0-0 draw by Blackburn at Loftus Road.

It's just the second time this season that Harry Redknapp's side dropped points at home in the second tier.

QPR were relegated from the Premier League last season and are now behind Burnley on goal difference.

Derby routed nine-man Blackpool 5-1 while Nottingham Forest climbed up to fifth place with a 1-0 win over managerless Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Sixth-placed Reading's unbeaten nine-match home run came to an abrupt end as they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth.

Elsewhere, Wigan were beaten 2-1 at Millwall.
