Former England captain fears Ashes series drubbing

The England cricketers are heading for a 5-0 Ashes drubbing unless they can recover mentally from two crushing defeats.

That's the fear of former captain Michael Vaughan after Australia's 218-run win in the second test in Adelaide.

The third test starts on Friday in Perth where Australia have won the last six matches between the sides.

Vaughan, who captained England to to a home series victory in 2005, says if England are getting out playing the pull shot on slow wickets, it's only going to get worse at the WACA.

Another former England captain Geoff Boycott estimates that 50 percent of England's wickets during the series have been given away, and the batsmen don't seem to have the mindset to grind away and make the opposition bowl them out.
