The Chiefs will announce their new licensing arrangement this morning, with plenty of interest in whether the Taranaki Rugby Union will be involved.
It is expected that a consortium will take over the running of the 2-time defending Super Rugby champions.
The Taranaki Rugby Union has previously stated they want to be a part of the Chiefs.
Part of their bid was to get the Chiefs to play matches in New Plymouth.
Taranaki has been a part of the Hurricanes franchise since the start of Super Rugby.
