Rain's delayed the start of play on day two of the second cricket test between New Zealand and the West Indies in Wellington.
The Black Caps will resume on 307 for six, thanks largely to Ross Taylor's 129, which helped the hosts recover from a bad start to end up taking the first-day honours at the Basin Reserve.
From 27 for two, Taylor was lucky to achieve his 10th Test century - and the first following a double century in the match before for a New Zealander - the former captain was dropped before he'd scored, and twice after reaching three figures.
It was the first time Taylor has been dismissed in the series.
Best of the other batsmen were Kane Williamson with 45, captain Brendon McCullum 37 and all-rounder Corey Anderson 38.
West Indies captain Darren Sammy had won the toss for the second successive game and had little hesitation in deciding to bowl first, but despite dismissing both openers cheaply, the pitch wasn't as helpful as expected.
No rain's forecast for day two, but there'll be more strong northerlies.
Wicketkeeper BJ Watling will resume on eight with bowler Tim Southee, who has nine, at the other end.
