The New Zealand women's softball team suffered two losses on the opening day of the Gilley's Shield tournament in Albany.
The White Sox lost 4-3 to South Australia and 4-3 to the ACT.
The Australian interstate competition is part of the White Sox build-up towards next year's World Championship in the Netherlands and they'll have a chance to atone for yesterday's disappointments against Victoria this afternoon.
