Wales rugby coach Warren Gatland has extended his contract for another four years, taking him through until after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The 50-year-old New Zealander has been in the role for six years now, guiding Wales to three Six Nations titles and grand slams in 2008 and 2012.

He also led them to the semi-finals of the 2011 Rugby World Cup and earlier this year coached the British and Irish Lions to a series victory over Australia.

Gatland's current deal was due to expire at the end of the 2015 World Cup.
