Vettori looking forward to being a selector

Dan Vettori was his usual measured self at the captain's conference ahead of today's second cricket Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

The New Zealand captain maintains that the main adjustments they need to make are tactical, in order to "sustain themselves longer in the game".

A change of seamer is likely with Daryl Tuffey possible as a straight swap for Iain O'Brien and the squad is back to full fitness after the stomach virus that laid low all but two of them during the first test loss in Galle.

Vettori also mentioned that his new role as part of the selection panel isn't much more of a workload and it's something he's looking forward to.

The playing XI won't be finalised until just before the toss.
