Denan Kemp returns to Australia

8:13 am on 26 August 2009

The Warriors winger Denan Kemp is returning to Australia after an early release from the second year of his rugby league contract.

The 22-year-old signed from the Brisbane Broncos last year and made 10 NRL appearances for the Warriors.

But he scored only one try and kicked 21 goals for a total of 46 points. His last match was against the Broncos on July 3.

Kemp says he wanted the chance to go back home to try to establish himself and Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says he's been released with the club's best wishes.
